Patch Day: What Happens to Your Tools, and Why

A patch is the one day of the cycle where patience matters more than skill.

League of Legends patches on a regular schedule. Valorant and most shooters do too, with extra hotfixes in between. Every one of those updates can affect the tools you use. This article explains what actually changes, what we do about it, and what you should do on the day itself.

What a patch changes

From the outside a patch is new champions, balance numbers or a map rotation. Underneath, three kinds of change matter to a tool.

The game client

A new build of the game moves things around inside it. A tool built for last week's client may read the wrong information from this week's, which shows up as wrong drawings, missed actions or a crash.

The anti-cheat

Anti-cheats update on their own schedule, sometimes with the game patch and sometimes in between. A new anti-cheat version is the main reason we take a tool offline even when the game itself barely changed.

Game rules

New champions, new abilities and changed ranges mean a script's prediction and evade data need updating too, even when everything technical still works.

What we do

  • As soon as a patch that could matter goes live, affected tools switch to Updating on the status page. They stop being sold from that moment.
  • The tool is rebuilt for the new version and tested.
  • When it passes, the status returns to Online and the loader delivers the new build automatically.

How long this takes depends entirely on what changed. A small balance patch can be quick; a new anti-cheat version can take much longer. We do not publish countdowns, because a promised time is exactly the kind of pressure that leads to shipping something before it is ready.

What you should do on patch day

Check before you play

Open the status page before your first game after a patch, even if the tool worked yesterday. This single habit avoids most patch-day problems.

Do not race the label

There is often a short window after a patch goes live and before we have marked every affected tool. If a big update has just landed and the status still says Online, give it some time and look again.

Update the game first

Let the game finish updating completely before starting the loader. Starting the tool against a half-updated game causes errors that look like tool problems but are not.

Revisit your settings

After a balance patch, champion data changes. If your script's behaviour feels off for a specific champion, reset that champion's settings or reload your premium config.

Read the notes

Game patch notes are a good early warning. When they mention changes to anti-cheat, client security or a new game engine version, expect a longer update.

What not to do

  • Do not launch a tool marked Updating or Maintenance, for any reason.
  • Do not reinstall Windows or the game because a tool paused after a patch. Nothing on your side is broken.
  • Do not buy a new key for a tool that is Updating. It cannot be bought for a reason.

Different games, different rhythms

League of Legends

Regular scheduled patches. Scripts such as Titan LoL Script and companions such as the Vanguard Bypass are usually affected together, because they share the same anti-cheat.

Valorant

Uses the same anti-cheat family as League, but on its own schedule. The Valorant tools follow Valorant's patches, not League's.

Shooters and survival games

Games like Rust, PUBG or DayZ each have their own update cadence and their own anti-cheat. One of them patching says nothing about the others.

If something is still wrong after the update

When your tool is back to Online and you still have trouble, go through our troubleshooting checklist, then contact support with your order number and what you saw.

In one line

Patch lands, tool pauses, tool returns. Your part is to check the status page and wait for the blue dot.
