What Is an HWID Spoofer? Getting Back In After an HWID Ban

An HWID spoofer is a tool that changes the hardware identifiers your PC reports to a game's anti-cheat, so a machine that was hardware banned looks like a different computer. It is how you get back into a game after an HWID ban: you start a new account on the spoofed PC and play again, without buying new hardware.

What is an HWID ban?

Anti-cheats do not only ban accounts. Many also record identifiers from your hardware, such as drive and motherboard serial numbers or your network adapter's MAC address, and then block the machine itself. Any new account you make on that PC is caught straight away. That is a hardware ban, usually called an HWID ban.

Games whose anti-cheats use hardware bans include League of Legends and Valorant (Vanguard), Call of Duty (Ricochet), and games protected by Easy Anti-Cheat or BattlEye.

How does an HWID spoofer work?

The spoofer replaces the identifiers the anti-cheat reads with new ones, so it sees hardware it has never banned.

IdentifierWhat it isHandled by Titan's spoofers
Drive serialsThe serial numbers of your SSD or hard driveYes
Motherboard serialsIDs stored on the board and in its firmwareYes
TPMA security chip in newer PCs that some anti-cheats read as a fixed IDYes, with the TPM bypass
MAC addressYour network adapter's ID, used for bans at network levelYes, with MAC spoofing

What a spoofer does and doesn't do

  • It lets you play again on a PC that was hardware banned.
  • It works on a new account: the banned account stays banned, because that ban is stored on the publisher's side, not on your PC.
  • It does not make cheating safe. A new account can still be banned for what it does, so the habits in bans and risk still apply.

HWID Spoofer or One Click Spoofer?

Titan sells two spoofers. Both include the TPM bypass and MAC spoofing; they differ in who sets them up and how long the new identity lasts.

Pick the HWID Spoofer if you want it set up for you and done once. Pick the One Click Spoofer if you would rather run it yourself whenever you play.

How to get back in after an HWID ban

  • Buy a spoofer key and check the status page shows it Online.
  • Spoof the PC: our team installs the HWID Spoofer with you, or you press the button in the One Click Spoofer.
  • Create a new game account and play on it from the spoofed PC.
  • For League after a Van 152 or similar hardware ban, the Vanguard Emulator is built to help as well.

Questions people ask

Will a spoofer unban my account?

No. Account bans are kept by the publisher. The spoofer gets your PC back into the game; you play on a new account.

Do I have to reinstall Windows or flash my BIOS?

No. Neither Titan spoofer asks you to reinstall Windows, flash the BIOS or uninstall your games.

Which anti-cheats does it work against?

Titan's HWID Spoofer is designed for bans from Ricochet (Call of Duty), Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye and Vanguard. Our anti-cheat overview explains each one.

Can I get hardware banned again?

Yes, if the new account is banned for cheating, that ban lands on the spoofed IDs. A spoofer changes how your PC looks; it does not stop the anti-cheat from judging what an account does.
