HWID Spoofer

Hardware-Prep Guide

Follow every step in order and in full so the spoofer runs cleanly. This guide is only for users who purchased the HWID Spoofer.

Before you start. All disks are wiped in Step 1, so back up anything important first. Do the steps in order, skip none of them, and finish each one before moving to the next. If any step is done wrong, the spoof will not complete, so follow each one exactly. Set aside 45–60 minutes.
1

Clean install Windows 10

Install Windows 10 from scratch, using the original image from Microsoft's own site. On the drive screen, delete every disk and partition, then continue the install.

Step 01 of 06
Download the Media Creation Tool

On another PC, open Microsoft's Windows 10 download page and take the Media Creation Tool. Only Microsoft's own image is accepted; no custom ISOs. You need an empty USB stick of 8 GB or more.

Unplug the Ethernet cable (and turn off Wi-Fi) while Windows reinstalls.
Once Windows is back up, pause Windows Update before doing anything else.
2

Update the BIOS

The BIOS file and the flashing tool differ by manufacturer. Pick your motherboard; the steps below use that brand's site and its own flash tool. The same choice carries over to step 3.

Board: ASUS · UEFI BIOS Utility
Step 01 of 05
Read the exact board model

Press Win + R, type msinfo32 and read BaseBoard Product. The same name is printed on the board itself and on its box. You need it letter for letter, including suffixes like WIFI or PLUS.

If the newest version is not listed for your board, use the previous one. A manufacturer walkthrough on YouTube (an MSI board is shown below) covers the flashing process itself.
3

Disable TPM & Secure Boot

Both settings live in the BIOS, in a different menu on every board. The screens below are drawn with your BIOS's own tab names and colours, and the row you have to change is highlighted. Use the Intel / AMD switch to match your processor.

Board: ASUS · UEFI BIOS Utility
Step 01 of 05
Restart and tap Del or F2

Press the key repeatedly from the moment the screen lights up until UEFI BIOS Utility appears. If Windows loads instead, restart and start tapping earlier.

4

Disable Windows Defender

Tools that attach to a game process are a routine false positive for Defender, so it needs to stay off during setup.

Step 01 of 04
Switch real-time protection Off
Windows Security›Virus & threat protection›Manage settings›Real-time protection

Open Windows Security from Start, go to Virus & threat protection, click Manage settings and switch Real-time protection off. Windows turns it back on by itself later, which is why the next sub-steps exist.

Download the tool only from the official sordum.org link above. Do not use third-party re-uploads.
5

Verify the state

Confirm Secure Boot and TPM are actually off:

Step 01 of 03
Secure Boot State: Off

Press Win + R, type msinfo32 and press Enter. In the list find Secure Boot State. It must read Off. "Unsupported" also passes. "On" means step 3 did not stick: go back to it.

6

Don't install the game yet

Do not install any game until every step above is done. When the prep is finished, reach out to us and we will take it from there.

7

Install the runtime libraries

Some builds need extra runtime DLLs. Install them only from Microsoft's official source:

Step 01 of 04
Download x64 and x86

Open Microsoft's Visual C++ Redistributable page and download both files under "Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022": X64 and X86. Builds need both, even on a 64-bit Windows.

Don't pull DLLs from random file-sharing sites. It is a security risk, and the official packages already contain everything a build needs.
